Ski City Shootout 2016

After a busy couple of weeks i'm finally getting around to writing a blog post from this years Ski City Shootout. I was ecstatic when I got invited back for my second year to compete. I'm always stoked to compete against some of my photographer idols in my home mountains of the Cottonwood Canyons. It was a very long 4 days of shooting, can't thank my athlete team of Luke Perin, Eric Fabbri, and Jonnie Merrill enough for sticking with it all week and giving their best.

With the exception of the first day we had to go on a search for good, photogenic snow. This often led us on bootpacks and skins into the backcountry. Thanks to the knowledge of my athletes we were able to find some goods and produce quality content.

It's always incredibly inspiring to see what other photographers come up with in the conditions provided. It's a team effort between athletes and photographers to find shots and execute them. Without the effort from the team we wouldn't have been able to pull off the first place portfolio this year!
